Ronda Rousey on Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue cover in body paint

History will be in the making when three women are featured As 2016 SI Swimsuit Cover Models. For the first time in its 52 years history, there will be three different SI Swimsuit Covers, like Ronda Rousey, Ashley Graham, and Hailey Clauson. It will be for the first time three ladies will share the honor.

Viewers got their first look of the SI Swimsuit 2016 as the three covers were unveiled. Their fellow models joined the cover ladies.

Ronda Rousey, the martial arts champion is a versatile personality who is also an author, model, and actress and got into martial arts at a very tender age. Her mother is also a judo champion and introduced Ronda to sports as a positive way to channel her energy.

The former UFC champion will feature on the cover of SI Swimsuit 2016, and she is wearing nothing but body paint. Ronda Rousey joins Ashley Graham and Hailey Clauson, and the hosts teased for a while when all the three women were on stage before making the historic announcement, there will be three separate covers.

Sports International Swimsuit Issue Assistant Managing Editor MJ Day talking to media said that all the three ladies are beautiful, sexy and strong.

Describing Ronda as a cultural phenomenon, Day added that she was a rare mix of beauty, brains, brawn and humility and possessed an aura which was infectious as well as inspiring, fiery and beautiful.

Ronda was no stranger to fame and had earlier made waves become the first MMA fighter to feature in the magazine’s most coveted annual issue in 2015.

Earlier in January Day posted a picture on her Instagram account of a body bare but painted back. The famous wrist tattoos recognized Ronda, but no official announcement was made then.
