Lalit Modi all set to launch The Rajastan Premiere T20 League

Lalit Modi, the notorious Indian business man who took the popularity to of cricket to new heights by launching the Indian Premier League is all set to make his comeback to daylight after the corruption charges which were imposed on him some years back.

According to reports, Lalit Modi is aiming to revolutionize domestic cricket in India by implementing an experimental idea; The Rajasthan Premiere League.

Rajasthan Cricket Association’s President is planning to launch a grand T20 tournament soon, and this is now a confirmed news. There are umpteen numbers of domestic leagues like this, but in RPL, things will be different, as it will bring back many retired International Superstars to the ground.

The Rajasthan Cricket Association should now approach the BCCI to obtain a No Objection certificate. The State Association also aims to fetch a good broadcast deal too.

Even though, BCCI do not have any kind of affinity towards Lalit Modi, chances to ban RPL are very unlikely. Close BCCI sources told that RCA is hosting a domestic league, and it does not have any legal issues.

In a recent talk with a National Daily, Sumendra Tiwary, Secretary of the RCA revealed more details about this league. He told that the planning is now in its initial stages, and nothing is finalized as of now. Sumendra also added that cricket matches like this will bring about more chances for the youth in the state to play quality games.

RCA is also going to conduct a pink ball cricket match soon, and this experimental step was first initiated by Saurav Ganguly and Bengal Cricket Association.

More details regarding this new league will be unveiled in the coming days.
