IPL 2016: Mumbai Indians vs Rising Pune Supergiants Live Streaming and Score

The IPL 2016 opening ceremony was a glitzy affair with high octane performance by the Big Whigs of Bollywood. It also included of West Indian cricketer Dwayne Bravo’s smash-hit rap ‘Champion dance’.

The ninth edition of IPL kicked off on Friday and the opening ceremony of two hours and fifteen minutes was a subdued affair probably because Maharashtra State, which is facing the worst drought of the recent times and there was widespread criticism for IPL being held in the state.

However, the cine stars managed to put out a spirited performance and enthralled the large gathering at the Sardar Vallabhbhai Stadium at the National Sports Club of India.

The opening ceremony was attended by the top echelons of BCCI, Franchise team owners, players and support staff of the eight participating teams. Bollywood actors Ranveer Singh, Katrina Kaif, Jacqueline Fernandez and Punjabi rapper.

According to the organizers of the mega event, special technology was imported from China to make the opening ceremony a sight to watch.

In the first fixture, Mumbai Indians will play Rising Pune Supergiants.

The motley crowd broke into a loud cheer when Bravo’s much-anticipated ‘champions dance’ was rendered. Fellow cricketers and crowd cheered Bravo, a key element of the West Indies World Twenty20 winning team and swayed to his ‘Champion dance’.
