‘Great Grand Masti’ Review: The adult comedy fails to impress

The third in the franchise of the Masti series “Great Grand Masti” featuring Aftab Shivdasani, Ritesh Deshmukh, and Vivek Oberoi have released at the box office today.

The movie directed by Indra Kumar have received negative reviews from the critics as well as the audience for having no storyline at all.

The adult comedy does not only lack a story but the actors in the movie are so desperate to get laid that it apparently makes the audience desperate to leave the theater at the earliest.

The film had been bankrolled under the banners of Balaji Motion Pictures and had been funded by Sameer Nair, Aman Gill, Ashok Thakeria, Sri Adhikari Brothers and Anand Pandit. While Tushar Hiranandani has written the movie.

Like the first two installments in the “Masti” series, the third part also deals with men who are only desperate and are chasing girls.

The storyline of “Great Grand Masti” revolves around the story of three friends Amar Saxena (Ritesh Deshmukh), Prem Chawla (Aftab Shivdasani) and Meet Mehta (Vivek Oberoi) who are troubled by different circumstances in their home which makes them unable to have sex with their wife.

So the three friends plan to take a trip to Amar ancestral haveli to get some action finally. Here the meet the gorgeous Ragini (Urvashi Rautela) who is every guy’s ultimate dream.

But clearly, for the three friend, it looks like their bad luck has no ending.

As the gorgeous actor turns out to be a virgin ghost who is also desperate to get some action of her own so that she can be free of her human body. Not only this the ghost (Urvashi Rautela) will have to kill one of them so that she can have her better half in the other world.

If that was not enough to raise the question as to what is wrong with the cinema of today, adding on it, we have adult jokes best suited for the 90’s, tasteless homosexuals jives and too much of skin show.

It apparently looks like all this are a desperate attempt by the director to make an impact on the box office.

One thing that the recent release has taught is that if this type of so-called cinema can be released in the theaters and if it crosses even 20 crores than our choice of art have for sure deteriorated through the years.
