North Korea’s Kim Jong Un poses besides a possible nuclear warhead mock up

North Korea has made a big revelation on March 09, 2016, Wednesday as they claimed that the country has miniaturized nuclear warheads that can be mounted on ballistic missiles.

Rodong Sinmun, a leading newspaper in North Korea published images of Kim Jong Un, the Supreme leader of the nation standing along with scientists beside a possible model warhead part.

The model warhead part looked like a small, silverish ball like object with a model ballistic missile in the background. The newspaper reported that Kim Jong Un is a happy man now, and he has appreciated the efforts of scientists and researchers who developed this standardized miniature warheads which can be used in ballistic missiles.

The photo from North Korea cannot be trusted entirely, as they have a notorious history of photo manipulations. But this is for the first time that North Korea has unveiled the picture of a nuclear warhead. It is still unclear that the country has developed one, or they are trying to improve the one which is of miniature size.

On the other hand, South Korea’s defense ministry quickly disputed North Korea’s claims after the photo got publicized. The South Korean Ministry called North Korea’s move and impossible challenge against the International Community.

Earlier, North Korea has made claims that they have such high miniaturized nuclear weapons and warheads which are capable of striking the U.S mainland. But experts are yet to give authenticity to these allegations.

Whang Joo-ho, a nuclear expert in South Korea, said that the round shaped ball like object in the photo will have Uranium or Plutonium in all probabilities. He confirms that this is just a model because Kim Jong Un would not have stood near to it if it was an original fearing radiation exposure. He also added that no one is wearing protective suits in the publicized photo.
