As Samsung gears up for its highly anticipated Galaxy Unpacked event on July 10, 2024, fresh leaks have surfaced online, offering a glimpse into what might be in store with the new Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Z Flip 6. These new leaks reveal not only the design elements but also some key specifications, setting the stage for what could be a significant update in Samsung’s foldable phone lineup.
Design and Aesthetics
Both the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Z Flip 6 maintain a design lineage similar to their predecessors but with notable enhancements. The Z Fold 6 is reported to adopt a more boxy design, a shift from the sleeker lines of the previous model. This design tweak is suggested to potentially include the use of premium materials like titanium, aligning it with the aesthetics of the Galaxy S24 Ultra.
The Z Flip 6, while retaining the general clamshell design, will feature updated color options and a more subtle crease on its foldable display. The camera design on both models is also tweaked, with a color-matching ring around the lens on the Z Flip 6, making the cameras stand out against the black bezel.
Technical Specifications
Under the hood, both devices are set to impress with substantial upgrades. The Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Z Flip 6 are expected to be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor. This upgrade promises enhanced performance suitable for the high demands of foldable phone technology.
In terms of display, the Z Flip 6 is highlighted with a Dynamic AMOLED 2X main display offering Full HD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. This spec ensures vibrant visuals with smooth scrolling and animation displays. The cover display also gets an upgrade to a Super AMOLED screen.
Storage and memory also see an increase, with the Z Fold 6 expected to offer up to 16GB of RAM and options for 256GB, 512GB, or even 1TB of internal storage. The Z Flip 6 could come in configurations offering up to 12GB of RAM, catering to various user needs.
Color Options and More
The color palette for these devices has expanded. The Z Flip 6 introduces colors like Blue, Mint, and Peach among others, while the Z Fold 6 will be available in shades like Navy and Pink. Some of these color options will be exclusive to Samsung’s online store, adding an element of exclusivity to the purchasing process.
