It’s been a rough week for the daughter of actor and comedian Robin Williams.
Zelda Williams departed from Twitter earlier this week after receiving photo-shopped images and nasty comments about her father from random Twitter members.
At the time that the daughter of Robin Williams departed from Twitter and other social media sites, she said that she needed to have some time away due to the loss of her father as well as needing some time to think about whether she would delete her account or have a temporary departure.
Twitter has now responded to the incident regarding the daughter of Robin Williams: “We will not tolerate abuse of this nature on Twitter. We have suspended a number of accounts related to this issue. We are in the process of evaluating how we can further improve our policies to better handle tragic situations like this one,” the social media site said.
As for Williams’ daughter, she says that Robin Williams is laughing at those who choose to send cruel, hateful responses in this time immediately after his death: “To those he touched who are sending kind words, know that one of his favorite things in the world was to make you all laugh. As for those who are sending negativity, know that some small, giggling part of him is sending a flock of pigeons to poop on your car. Right after you’ve had it washed. After all, he loved to laugh too,” she wrote on her personal blog.
Robin Williams died earlier this week when he was found in his apartment on Monday afternoon by his secretary. According to the medical report, Robin Williams died due to hanging himself up in his room by his belt. In recent days, his third wife, Susan Schneider, says that Robin Williams had Parkinson’s Disease.
