Kashmir is burning following the death of Hizbul Mujahideen commander Burhan Wani, and the state will be in curfew for another two days, as the separatists decided to extend their protest till Saturday, July 15, 2016.
A senior Police official yesterday told that the curfew will be in force in all major towns of the ten districts in the valley.
Burhan Wani was killed on July 08, 2016 in an encounter, and from then, large-scale violence has gripped the valley in the most vicious manner. The act from Kashmiri youth even spread a huge wave of unrest among people in other parts of India, as these people are protesting in the streets for a dreaded terrorist.
As of now, more than 37 people have been killed in the violence which happened in the valley. The Central Government and the State Government are facing huge criticisms from all corners, as they failed to foresee the attacks and protests which may happen post the death of Burhan Wani.
On Wednesday evening, a violent mob attacked the vehicle of a senior police officer, but there were no causalities reported, as the security forces soon rushed to the place in which the violence happened.
Syed Ali Geelani and Mirwaiz Umer Farooq, separatist leaders were taken into preventive custody on July 12, 2016, as they tried to come out of their residence in which they are being kept under house arrest. After some time, they were returned to their houses and were left under house arrest again.
All Government Examinations scheduled till July 17, 2016, have been postponed in the wake of these situations.
