Huawei Honor 5X: Check Price, Review and Features

Xiaomi might be attractive, but we bet it isn’t as popular as Huawei, which is considered to be among the top 3 largest smartphone manufacturers across the globe.

We are talking about the Honor line, which has some greatest phones with affordable prices and excellent specifications.

Honor 5X is the latest in the lineup, which was recently released. Now, it is competing with LeEco Le 1s, Lenovo K4 Note and Xiaomi Redmi Note 3. Let us read a review of Honor 5x:

Talking about the display and design, Honor 5x has an all-metal brushed body and an entirely black façade. The phone is quite light as compared to other plastic phones in this segment.

It features a 5.5 inches FullHD display along with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection, and this is something which every phone in this segment offers.

The handset is powered by a 1.5GHz Snapdragon 616 processor coupled with 3GB/ 2GB RAM and internal storage capacity of 16 GB, which can be further expandable up to 128 GB with a micro-SD card.

It is fuelled by a 3000mAh non-removable battery and runs on the platform Android 5.1 Lollipop out of the box.

On the camera front, the phone features a 13-megapixel rear camera with autofocus and LED flash and a 5-megapixel front shooter for selfies.

It also sports a fingerprint sensor at the back, for enhanced security and can be used for answering calls, clicking photographs and unlocking the phone.

The phone has many options of connectivity such as Bluetooth 4.1, Wi-Fi 802.11n, FM Radio, GPS, GLONASS, A-GPS and has sensors like fingerprint sensor, compass, proximity sensor and accelerometer.

The cost of the phone is $200 and is definitely worth the price.

  • My wife bought this phone when it first released, it’s great! One thing keeps me from buying one for myself, it doesn’t work with T-Mobile wifi calling. That’s a deal breaker for me as I depend on this feature were I work. I’m told that there is a Marshmallow 6.0.1 upgrade coming. If that happens, I believe wifi calling capability is built into the OS. I’d buy an Honor 5X in a flash if wifi calling will work!
