Calvin Harris and Rihanna’s new song ‘This is What You Came For’ released

In a surprise development, Calvin Harris has released a new song in collaboration with Rihanna as he dropped “This is What You Came For” for the first time.

The song spans over 3 minutes and 41 seconds and is available from the official Apple iTunes store.

Describing the moment as nerve-cracking, the Scottish DJ introduced their new collaboration on BBC Radio 1’s breakfast show and described sitting RiRi down at Coachella to play her the final version less than two weeks ago.

Harris, recently, posted a teaser on Twitter about the new collaboration, which includes the artwork for the song under the tagline This is What You Came For. He also posted several tweets with the content – April 29 @Rihanna and #ThisIsWhatYouCameFor APRIL 29.

Speaking to reporters from his home in Los Angles, Harris revealed that he played it to her for the first time at Coachella. I was in her trailer. It was me, her and her manager.

Even though Harris was nervous, according to this comment, he had to change so many parameters musically to make sure that Rihanna loved each and every moment of the song.

The 32-year old DJ, meanwhile, had high regards for the 28-year-old singer and described her voice as iconic. Harris stated that the first time he saw her singing We Found Love song, he thought that it was far better than he actually imagined.

Interestingly, Rihanna recently released her long-awaited new album ‘Anti’ and Calvin previously revealed he wrote a track for it that was rejected. Even though Tinashe wrote the top line, it’s Harris who did all the music. However, he doesn’t have any idea as to what will happen to the project because it’s really good.

Calvin Harris, who is a talented remixer and DJ has won several Grammys and MTV VMA awards. He also broke Michael Jackson’s record for the most UK Top Ten singles from one album and was named Forbes highest-earning DJ in 2013.
