2016 Cadillac CTS-V is BIG improvement with BIG horsepower

The 2016 Cadillac CTS-V is a sedan with more than just style. Previously, the CTS was a sedan that delivered in enough ways to make it a great conversation piece – and a good full-sized sedan for those who are looking to get the most out of a car. Now though, the performance element has been incorporated into this latest model, which makes it a serious grab for anyone who is looking to really take advantage of the power under the hood.

It will command nearly $100,000 for those who want the version, which was widely tested recently. However, that power under the hood is really something to be reckoned with when it comes right down to it. The 2016 Cadillac CTS-V brings a 6.2-liter direct-injection, two-valve V8 engine that really couldn’t get any larger, or command more power if it tried. After all, this is a vehicle fit for modern roads, not a race track in Switzerland.

Altogether, that massive 6.2-liter engine boasts 640-horsepower, which is precisely what this sedan needed if it was going to focus on performance and quality. While the classiness inside the CTS-V isn’t anything out of the ordinary or exceptional for Cadillac – this is still an incredibly powerful machine that will do remarkable things for most drivers.

This is a first though for Cadillac. This is a vehicle that, without any modification, can reach 200mph. This is something that Cadillac has been working toward for some time now, as they have really worked hard to ensure that they have the most powerful engine one could imagine – while retaining the class that Cadillac likes to pack inside its vehicles.

The Cadillac CTS-V can make 0-60 happen in 3.7 seconds, which is a statement for any Cadillac vehicle. However, there is something to be said for Cadillac being this aggressive in a space that is anything but their own home court. They could have made an outstanding luxury vehicle, and forgotten about the performance. No one would have minded or complained. Adding performance though to their setup with luxury really creates a vehicle that is difficult to challenge in terms of what it brings to the table. Is this the vehicle for everyone? Not by a long shot.

This vehicle has an audience though, and Cadillac is going to do very well with this particular car when all is said and done.
