This hidden iPhone 13, iPhone 12 trick can boost your voice, video calls – HT Tech

Did you know your iPhone 13, iPhone 12 or all those iPhones capable of updating to the latest iOS 15 version and have a certain chipset have a hidden setting that can significantly boost audio clarity during voice and video calling. Yes, iOS 15 and macOS Monterey has a new audio feature that improves voice quality during calls. Voice Isolation and Wide Spectrum are two new audio settings that Apple has introduced to improve the voice quality. The Voice Isolation tool not only works with you on a video and audio calls, but it is also applicable to Snapchat, WhatsApp, Slack, Signal, and Instagram. On the other hand, Wide Spectrum allows the people on the other side of the call to hear background noise, which is good if you’re holding up your phone in a family gathering and everyone is looking to get their point across but it’s a terrible thing if you’re at home or at some public place like the metro or market. If you’re excited to use this feature but don’t know how to do it then you have landed on the right page. This article explains the entire process in a step-by-step manner.

But before you proceed, do note that it’s difficult to discover the feature on your iPhone. You can only get to access it while you’re already on a call. Also this Voice Isolation feature is available only on iPhones with the A12 Bionic chipset or later that are running iOS 15 or more. Check out the step by step process here

Open your iPhone and make a call. 
Now, slide down from the upper-right corner to head to the Control Center. 
There, hit the “Mic Mode” button and you will see an option to change the voice quality from standard to Voice Isolation or Wide Spectrum.
Once you tap on the Voice Isolation feature, your device will start analyzing the audio coming to your mic more aggressively  and remove the background noise.
