Each new month brings with it a cavalcade of great new releases on Netflix
As 2023 marches on, I will continually be ranking each and every new release added to Netflix throughout the year, and updating the list monthly. Many great films were added to the streaming service in the month of March, and they are now eligible for this list. So let’s review the best new movies added to Netflix in 2023.
Netflix has had great success with this animated features, including the two Oscar-nominated flicks The Mitchells vs. The Machines and The Sea Beast. And the streaming giant looks to continue that streak in 2023 with The Magician’s Elephant, a film about an orphan boy who goes searching for his missing sister.

Without a doubt, the funniest new movie on Netflix in 2023 is You People—a comedy about racial relations in America from the minds of Kenya Barris and Jonah Hill. The film centers on a couple who anxiously make their polarizing parents aware of their modern relationship.

If you were a fan of the shortly lived BBC detective series Luther, then you were sure to catch the complicated character’s return to the screen in Luther: The Fallen Sun. This movie focuses on the character of Luther, who escapes from jail in order to solve a case that has haunted him for years.
