Sources: Memphis Depay set to accept Chelsea offer in unexpected twist – Football Insider

Memphis Depay is set to accept a one-year contract offer from Chelsea after the Blues made a late move for his capture, sources have told Football Insider.
The 28-year-old has been given the green light to leave Barca and the Blues have tabled a surprise proposal for his capture.
Depay is set to accept the offer, leaving Chelsea in a race against time to complete a deal before the 11pm deadline.

The Netherlands international looks set to be the second striker to swap the Nou Camp for Stamford Bridge.
As revealed by Football Insider earlier today (1 September), Chelsea have agreed terms to sign Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang in a £14million deal.
The Gabon international has agreed terms of a two-year deal, with Marcos Alonso set to head in the opposite direction.

Despite Aubameyang’s impending arrival, Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel is still in the market for attacking reinforcements.
The Blues have made a late approach for Depay, who has also been deemed surplus to requirements at Barca.
The Dutchman appeared close to joining Juventus earlier this summer but talks reportedly collapsed.
Having remained at Barca, he has been left on the bench for the club’s opening three La Liga games.
Depay now looks set to complete an unexpected move to Stamford Bridge to reunite with Aubameyang.
Chelsea currently sit ninth in the Premier League after two wins, a draw and two defeats.
They have scored just six times across their five games.
