Priyadarshini Chatterjee, the ravishing beauty from Delhi has been named the FBB Femina Miss India World 2016. Her name was announced by none other than King Khan of Bollywood,
Shah Rukh Khan in a star studded ceremony on April 09, 2016. The prestigious win here will make her qualify in representing India at the Miss World 2016 pageant.
Sushruthi Krishna and Pankhuri Gidwani has been named the first and second runner ups respectively. The 53rd Femina Miss India World competition was as tight like always, and finally, Priyadarshini came out with flying colors.
Twenty one finalists participated in various rounds, and judges revealed that all of them was best in one way or the other. But finally, the ultimate crown went to Priyadarshini who put up a scintillating performance in the ramp.
Some of the noted names in the jury panel include Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Kapoor, Yami Gautam, Amy Jackson, Sania Mirza, Kabir Khan, Shane Peacock, Manish Malhotra and Ekta Kapoor.
Shah Rukh Khan was energetic as always during the show, and he entertained the participants with his unique charm and charisma. He also promoted his upcoming movie ‘Fan’ during the winner announcement.
The show was hosted by Manish Paul and Karan Johar. Sunidhi Chauhan performed some of her hit numbers during the last grand walk which selected the ultimate winners.
Top stars in Bollywood, Shahid Kapoor, Tiger Shroff, Rapper Badshah and Jacqueline Fernandez performed during the event.
After winning the title, Priyadarshini told that she is very much excited, and it is her privilege to represent India at the Miss World 2016 pageant.
Sushruti Krishna, the first runner up will contest in Miss International 2016, while second runner up Pankhuri Gidwani will participate at the Miss Grand International beauty pageants.
