Microsoft Lumia 650 and 650 XL Release Date, Features and Price

Talk about Microsoft Lumia 650 had been nothing but rumors until some new specs and images were released to the web this week. Notorious Insider Evan Blass released the images of the upcoming Microsoft Windows smartphone.

Along with a first real look at the phone, a new report surfaced that this particular handset is going to include wireless charging. We also finally have what could most likely be the release date as well as reasonable pricing for the phone.

Evan Blass’s image leak only filled in the gaps from some images we’d already gotten our hands on a few weeks ago. The Lumia 650, which is carrying the code name Saana had previously seen pictures of the front of the phone leaked through the website WinBeta. Blass leaked out the back of the handset.

What else do we know besides what the phone is going to look like? The display appears to be of the 5-inch variety and is said to have a 720p display that will be extra strong thanks to Gorilla Glass.

Internally, the device is carrying 1 GB RAM, 8 GB internal storage that can apparently be upgraded with MicroSD support. The device is also going to be bringing the powerful Snapdragon 410 processor and a 2000 mAH battery.

As far as how much you’ll have to pay for this phone, most reports appear to be hinting at the handset carrying an MSRP of about $179 or thereabouts.

One piece of bad news when it comes to the Microsoft Lumia line is that there doesn’t appear to be any news about an XL version of the 650.

At the moment it seems the bigger version of the handset may not be coming with this generation. With other reports claiming the 750 is going to be coming early next year, it’s possible the larger version of the phone will be making a comeback then.
