After the break, Rayan Raveloson gained his 1st two major goals of the year to lead the Los Angeles Galaxy to a 4-0 rout of CF Montreal.

Before actual halftime, the Galaxy earned their fifth home victory and 1st after the June international break when Javier “Chicharito” Hernandez scored his team-high 7th goal of the year and Dejan Jovejic added his sixth from the penalty spot.

Only 3 saves were needed by Jonathan Bond to secure his 6th shutout for L.A. (8-6-3, 27 points), which is the 1st since May 8.

For the very first time on the road after a 2-0 defeat to Orlando City in the opening game of the season on February 27, Montreal (9-7-2, 29 points) was kept without a goal for the 3rd time this year.

Since giving up Djordje Mihailovic, who leads the team with 7 goals as well as 4 assists, to a foot injury, CF Montreal has gone 2-2-0 in its last four matches.

In the previous season, Raveloson was a crucial supplementary component of the Galaxy’s offensive, but it had been 29 MLS games since the last of the previous five 2021 MLS scores.

At the hour mark, he broke that dry spell to extend the Galaxy’s Galaxy’s advantage, which was already two goals, thanks to some deft combination play.

Daniel Aguirre saw Julian Araujo out wide on the final two passes, and Araujo curved a right-footed outswinging cross into the direction of Raveloson, who slammed with the first goal.

Following an even more amazing series of plays, Raveloson scored his 2nd goal. The decisive move was made by alternate Sacha Kljestan, who used the first-touch approach with the bottom of his shoe to set up Raveloson for a second goal from a short distance in the 79th minute.

Previously, Chicharito and Joveljic managed to score for the 2nd time in four matches in the same game.

Chicharito When Samuel Grandsir passed towards Efrain Alvarez in pace close to the penalty mark from the left in the 8th minute, it all began.

Alvarez sent in a header that Chicharito caught and scored low from a constrained angle.

During first-half stoppage time, Joveljic increased the advantage with a penalty for a Montreal handball that was given after a video review.

During his last four games, Joveljic has scored five goals. While Douglas Costa & Kevin Cabral were suspended for receiving red cards on Monday, he was given just his second appearance of the year, as reported by ESPN.
