Islamic preacher Zakir Naik will not return to India this year

Zakir Naik, the so-called Islamic preacher who is now facing criticisms from all corners for allegedly inspiring the Dhaka attackers, conducted a Skype Press Conference today, July 15, 2015.

Naik, who is now in Saudi Arabia, started the press meet at 10.00 AM, and it lasted for more than two hours.

During the chat, he told that he would be back in India only by next year, and this does not mean that he is afraid of his criticizers.

The televangelist made it clear that he is now following his previously fixed schedule and added that it cannot be changed due to pressure from some ends.

When asked about his venom spreading speech, Zakir told that he is a messenger of peace.

As per Zakir, killing innocent people is a sin in Islam, and as a result, he is not a supporter of suicide bombings or terrorist attacks. In this statement too, there is an underlying danger, as he has mentioned killing innocent people is a crime.

It clearly indicates that killing guilty is not a crime, and for Zakir, everybody except people of his religion is guilty people. He has previously proved his offensive mindset through various speeches he delivered in different venues.

As per Zakir, suicide bombing is unaccepted, but it can be used as a part of war tactics.

When asked about the video footages which depicts his outrageous remarks, he told that a media trial has been going on for him, and the videos which have now surfaced are just parts of an entire speech. He clarified that most of these clippings have half sentences, and it is misleading in nature.

It was Arnab Goswami and Times Now Channel who triggered a campaign against Zakir Naik a week back, and the hash tag #stopzakirnaik soon followed it. The campaign soon became viral all over the nation, and many people even asked to prosecute the controversial preacher.
