High profile tech CEOs accept ALS Ice Bucket Challenge

Partaking in a challenge for a worthy cause is something that could be worth the effort but when you see big names doing it, the whole world is bound to pay attention and eventually follow. The ALS challenge is something that has taken the world by storm, done by celebrities and even the big time techie executives.

That list of executives who took on the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge included Mark Zuckerberg (Facebook), Bill Gates and Satya Nadella (Microsoft), Larry Page and Sergey Brin of Google, Marissa Mayer (Yahoo CEO), Jeff Bezos (Amazon CEO), Tim Cook (Apple), Steve Ballmer (former Microsoft CEO and now Los Angeles Clippers owner), Dick Costolo (Twitter) and finally Ralph dela Vega (AT&T).

Each of them tried to outdo the other, something many would expect from high profile CEOs who do the same with their own companies. But at the end of the day, the bottom line is doing it all for charity and support for the dreaded Lou Gehrig disease.

You have to wonder if these guys would make a $100 donation for the cause, a measly amount if you think about the wealth that these top brasses are actually sitting on. Well, the good news is that they are not compelled to do so but then again, shedding out some financial donation could be a big help for a worthy cause.
