The Dow DJIA, +1.76% was most recently trading 440 points (1.4%) higher, as shares of Apple Inc. AAPL, +4.08% and Walt Disney DIS, +3.51% are contributing to the blue-chip gauge’s intraday rally. Apple Inc.’s shares have climbed $5.12, or 3.6%, while those of Walt Disney are up $3.72 (3.5%), combining for a roughly 58-point boost for the Dow. Boeing BA, +3.52%, Dow Inc. DOW, +2.86%, and American Express AXP, +2.56% are also contributing significantly to the gain. A $1 move in any one of the 30 components of the Dow equates to a 6.59-point swing.
