Amber Heard and Johnny Depp’s trial has become the center of attention, but did her lawyer quit amid the ongoing court drama?
Depp and Heard’s court case has divided the internet with people waiting to see what the judge says in their ruling. Amid this, some of the revelations made during the hearing have left many people in shock.
The Pirates of the Carribean star, 58, is facing off Heard, 36, in a defamation lawsuit and suing for damages of $50million. He is claiming her accusations of abuse against him are false. Heard is countersuing Depp for $100million, claiming Depp libeled her by calling her a liar.
Depp is suing for libel over an article Heard wrote in The Washington Post in 2018, which his lawyers say falsely implies he physically and sexually abused her. The article does not mention Depp by name.
Since the trial began, their case has also been a victim of several rumors that have been shared by the users online.
As of now, there has been no official announcement regarding this so it is safe to say that Heard’s lawyer has not quit.
The Aquaman actress divorced Depp in 2016 after the pair tied the knot a year earlier.
The rumors about this began after the actress claimed she used Milani’s All In One Correcting Kit to hide her alleged bruises. However, the brand later said the product was released in 2017, which is after she and Johnny had parted ways.
Her lawyer, Benjamin Rottenborn, stated she kept the product in her purse at all times to ensure her bruises were never visible to the public.
It’s possible that early samples were available before this – the brand hasn’t confirmed whether that was the case.
Amid this, there is also a video by Viral Vision on their YouTube with a headline that claims: “Amber Heard Lawyer QUITS After Heated Argument About Court Performance.”
At first glance, people will believe the rumors. However, the entire video is just a recap of what has happened at the trial so far and does not state or give factual information regarding the lawyer quitting. With this in mind, it can be said that it is a mere clickbait.
For those who wish to watch the trial, you can do so on Law and Order’s YouTube channel. You can click the link here to watch it.
At the same time, many news channels such as NBC, ABC, and others have also been streaming the entire trial.
The trial will be happening from Monday through Thursday, with Fridays off. The entire trial is set to last for five weeks but there will be a pause from May 9-12 as Judge Azcarate has another event to attend.
Johnny and Amber met each other in 2006 but it wasn’t until 2012 that they started their relationship.
After being together for two years, the pair got engaged in 2014 and got married a year later. However, their relationship did not last for long as the pair got divorced a year later.
