Apple, Inc. (NASDAQ: APPL) is inviting all of the media to a supposedly iPhone 6S and 6S Plus launch event, with some focus on the Apple TV and Watch 2. With not many reports about the Watch 2 and Apple TV, rumor mills have churned out information enough to picturize the upcoming iPhone would look.
Force Touch
We have seen that in MacBook, MacBook Pro 13″ and 15″ and in the Watch, now it is probably the right time for Apple to introduce that in the iPhone 6S and 6S Plus – giving it a new dimension of user interaction.
Several images of the front panel have surfaced with a cavity apparently for holding the Force Touch chip; however, not a single video or image surfaced showing the iOS 9 with Force Touch in action.
Reinforced Body
Rumors suggest that the company has added a new 7000 Series Aluminum in the new iPhone 6S and 6S Plus to protect it from any bending. It is even thicker at the weak points and has also gained a bit more height. Nothing to worry about, the existing covers and cases are going to support it.
Apart from that, Aluminum 7000 alloy in the iPhone 6S and 6S Plus is costly to produce indicating a hike in the price of iPhone this year. Also, the alloy is prone to corrosion that Apple is going to protect with the double layer of color coating.
Color Options:
The new iPhone 6S is going to have a new color option, probably be the Rose Gold. Some reports have suggested that the Rose Gold is apparently a Rose Pink but not the Rose Gold. Apart from that, slight improvements in the Space Gray and Gold color variants are also going to appear on the shelves this year.
Camera:
One of the major upgrade we are going to see this year is the inclusion of 12 MP camera backed by the amazing photographic capabilities of the native camera app on the iPhone. Apple has been rumored to add 4K video support this year.
Other than that recent rumors suggest that the smartphone is going to have a better FaceTime camera for improved selfies and the hole for the front facing camera has received a slight increase in its diameter.
Other than that, there are going to be slight improvements in the Retina Display and Touch ID, which will further enhance the display and the Apple Pay respectively.
September 9 is the day when Apple is going to introduce the latest addition, and supposedly on 18th September, the smartphone will be in the stores.
