If you didn’t think that job opportunities for business school graduates could get any more lucrative right now, you may be surprised to hear that actually, they can. If you have a Master’s of Business Administration (MBA) degree, or plan to enroll on a course soon, this is definitely your year.
According to a global report which was published in June by the Graduate Management Admission Council (GMAC), companies that work in close proximity with some of the best business schools in the U.S. are planning to employ more MBA graduates this year than they did in 2015,. In the report, details of 88% of corporate companies who work with and hire from business schools show that plans to hire recent MBA graduates are increasing for 2016/17.
MBA Employment Improvements
In the past six years, we’ve seen some incredible developments in MBA employment, something that has resulted in placements and salaries at some of the U.S.’s leading business schools hitting an all-time high. Gregg Schoenfeld, research director at GMAC, said that this year has the highest levels so far when it comes to companies who are actively saying that they’re looking for MBA graduates to hire. GMAC actually revealed that the demand for MBA graduates has grown in each of the various industry categories measured, including consulting, accounting and finances, and products and services. Because of this, it’s clear to see that there’s never been a better time to take an online business administration degree.
Will This Last?
The figures released by GMAC clearly show that the demand and favor for MBA graduates is on the rise and doesn’t look set to slow down any time soon. This can also be a huge benefit for international MBA graduates, even though it’s important to remember that job opportunities can often be varied depending on a number of factors, such as where they attended business school. Over fifty percent of corporate recruiters are currently reporting future plans for hiring, or at the very least, a willingness to hire international MBA graduates who make require further documentation, such as a work permit, in order to do their job.
Plans for International MBA Grads
GMAC found that whilst almost ninety percent of corporate companies are actively planning to hire MBA graduates from U.S. business schools and online business programs, other companies in the accounting and finance, technology, consulting and manufacturing industries are the most likely to take on international MBA graduates than others.
Currently, 25% of all employers in the U.S. have some sort of plans in place to hire international graduates, however, 51% of employers say that they would rather hire graduates from U.S. schools. Because of this, taking an online business administration degree could be just what you need to open the door to a new and rewarding career path.
With figures such as these, it is no surprise that more and more business graduates are enrolling on MBA degree courses both in classrooms and online.
