Video: ‘X-Men Apocalypse’ final trailer released

The much awaited X-Men: Apocalypse released its final trailer 3 days ago. The trailer outlines how Mystique (Jennifer Lawrence) is instrumental in bringing together the X-Men for what will be a fight for their lives and that of humanity.

When Charles Xavier (James McAvoy) tries to take on Apocalypse (Oscar Isaac) on his own, he is defeated and kept prisoner by the mutant whose powers are likened with that of the Gods.

The X-Men gather prospects from across the World, train and prepare for what may be their final fight. Not only will they battle a God-like threat, but also his four formidable accomplices, better known from the comics as the four horsemen. Then again, one of them is a horsewoman.

The new trailer outlines the destruction Apocalypse looks to bring, where he mentions, ‘he will build a better world out of the ashes of the old one’. Literally put, he is looking to destroy the Earth as we know it to re-build it to his own liking.

The trailer doesn’t feature much of the interesting action, with snippets of new stars among revered old faces from the prequels of the new movie.

Wolverine (Hugh Jackman) is shown taking on groups of the enemy, helping out the newbie mutants and is also caught saying ‘he will take away everything from the perpetrators’. With the world in peril and the humans defenseless against Apocalypse’s wrath, it is in the hands of young X-Men to ensure they return peace and the promise of a future to Earth.

The new trailer can be watched on YouTube. Shooting and productions for the movie began way back in October 2014 which lasted through April 2015 after which the movie reached its post production stage. X-Men: Apocalypse is expected to hit cinemas in North America on the 27th of May, 2016 and will release worldwide post that.
