The residents of Junagadh, a small area in Gujarat, woke up to a thrilling shock at the middle of the night. On Tuesday they spotted a pride of eight lions wandering on their streets, a resident captured the late night strolling off the Asiatics lions on his phone.

Now the incredible footage of the Lions comprising of three lionesses and cubs walking on an inhabited road of the town has gone viral.

It is not the first time that the Lions have walked openly on the street of the city. According to the locals residing in the area, they frequently spot a lion once or twice a week.

One of the reasons behind it is that the Gir National Park which is home to more than 500 Asiatic Lions is located quite close to the Junagadh area.

The other reason is that in recent time due to steps were taken by the government the population of the majestic animal has been increasing which may be a good sign for the forest officials but may prove to be a warning sign for the local community.

But the good news is that the pride of Lions without harming any residents returned to their forest after taking their hour-long stroll in the city. The residential area is home to family houses, schools, and a hospital.

The need of the hour is for the government to take some major steps as as per reports its found out that the wild animal has caused a loss of many lives in the last one year.

Between the month of March and May, three people were killed in the Junagadh area by the lion. A woman live was also lost in the Gir Somnath district, also during the same month a group of lions in Amreli region near Gir severely injured a man.

The question now remains to be answered is what steps will the government take to save the life of the residents from the endangered animal who have been creating quite a havoc in recent time.
