Google, the search engine giant on July 11, 2016, has initiated the “Android Skilling and Certification” programme which is dedicated to make the country the hottest hub of mobile developers.
The programme will be carried out as a part of Central Government’s ”Skill India” initiative. This noble venture aims to train more than two million developers on Android in India.
Caesar Sengupta, Product Management Vice President at the Google told that India is going to become the largest country in the world with the maximum developer population of four million by 2018. He added that only 25 percentage of this mammoth crowd is building for mobile.
Google also launched an interactive instructor-led training programme on Android fundamentals for students in various Universities.
Google has already tied up with many training partners like Edureka, Koenig, Manipal Global, Simplilearn and Udacity. These partners will operate in India as authorized Android trainers, and they will responsible in updating Android Courseware to students for Android certification.
“Associate Android Developer Certification Programme”, one of the most acclaimed Google initiatives has also been launched in India. Successful completion of this course will help candidates to find entry level Android developer job.
This certification examination is being priced at Rs 6500 by Google, and people who have completed the training can attend this by visiting the developer training website.
Peter Lubbers, Head of Google Developer Training told that the Nanodegree program launched last year was a huge hit, and the same verdict is expected for this program as well.
