Ryan Gosling and Eva Mendes have welcomed their baby girl into the world, US Weekly has confirmed.

The outlet was the first to confirm Eva’s pregnancy just months ago, so it comes as a shock to suddenly learn the actress has given birth. She definitely kept herself out of the limelight to keep this news private for so long.

It’s still unclear when the baby was born, but it happened this week, a source explained. Ryan and Eva are staying very tight lipped on the joyful news, reportedly refusing to share the news on social media or to the press. They’ll share whatever they feel is right in their own time.

At the beginning of the year when Mendes appeared on the Ellen show, she denied reports that claimed she was pregnant — which we now know was a lie because she already knew she was expecting her first born at that point.

“It all started because I didn’t want to go through the scanners at the airport. You know those X-ray scanners, which are really creepy? They basically see you naked, right? And not only that, but there’s a radiation aspect to it, so I always opt out,” she explained.

Sources have reported that Ryan has been a doting boyfriend to Eva in the last couple of months, prior to her giving birth to their daughter. The actor was said to have taken over the household by prepping all of Eva’s meal, cleaning their home regularly, taking care of Mendes as much as possible while still juggling his movie career.

Well, if he’s already been able to handle all of those things, time will tell how well Ryan plays the role of a full-time working father, seeing that his career does usually keep him away from being in the same country for too long.

“Ryan goes out and gets the groceries. [Eva’s] been wanting pasta, and he’s cooking her meals. Ryan has already stepped into the role of caring father-to-be,” an insider told Us Weekly earlier this year.
Congratulations on the couple’s birth to their first child.
